This page describes MAQUINE's current intended website boundaries. It is not a counsel-approved contract, does not create a client relationship, and does not activate Studio intake or payment. Only an explicitly approved, versioned agreement can govern a project.
This website and MAQUINE Studio are operated by Maquine, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company.

Website scope
This website presents MAQUINE's publishing, international-rights, localization, foreign-edition, and partnership planning. Its editorial and business materials are general information and may be revised as services, catalogs, markets, and availability develop. New Studio clients can register for a free account with email confirmation and optional client authenticator protection; account creation does not order services or constitute project acceptance. Existing clients sign in to the separate private Studio for authorized project records and actions; this public website does not receive manuscripts or payments.
No automatic relationship
Sending an ordinary inquiry, catalog, or other material does not create representation, agency, publication, licensing, exclusivity, fiduciary duty, or a partnership. The current public artifact cannot create a Studio project, client record, agreement, Checkout request, payment, or delivery obligation. Any future private record would remain separate from an implied rights or publishing relationship.
Authority to submit
Send materials only when you own the relevant rights or are authorized to represent the rightsholder. You are responsible for the accuracy of ownership, territory, format, term, publication-history, and availability information supplied to MAQUINE.
Review and confidentiality
Never send a manuscript or confidential project, payment, identity, agreement, or delivery file through the ordinary inquiry form or email. Use only a private route that MAQUINE has expressly activated for the specific review. An activated private route uses access controls and a quarantine workflow, but no system can promise absolute security. Confidentiality obligations, permitted project access, and any special handling requirements must be stated in the applicable services agreement. Never send original physical materials or an irreplaceable sole copy.
Planning calculation and review
The public price preview demonstrates the current USD 0.06, USD 0.08, and USD 0.10 planning formula and USD 299 minimum but creates no quote or payable amount. In the private Studio, source-word verification, an approved service category, a server-owned proposal, and exact cent-rounded 50% + 50% obligations remain required before payment.
Proposals and optional scope
Studio quotes and project records are private, not available on the public website. An approved proposal must be tied to the verified source record and preserve the service category, billable source count, rate, currency, total, installment schedule, and any founder-approved additions. Nothing optional may be accepted unless it appears explicitly in that record.
Rights and edition ownership
This public artifact cannot accept a work. Any future expressly authorized submission would permit only the evaluation and processing described in the then-current Studio terms and applicable agreement. It would not assign publishing, translation, adaptation, distribution, audio, dramatic, merchandising, or other exploitation rights. Any separate agreement controls ownership and permitted use of commissioned localization and production deliverables.
Payment and delivery gates
The self-service policy is 50 percent to begin and 50 percent before final release, rounded to cents with any odd cent in the first installment. This public website has no Checkout, payment, refund, dispute, private-file, or delivery capability. Private Studio events and access decisions remain behind separate server-controlled gates. A public preview never creates a payment obligation.
Catalog and market information
Catalog descriptions, rights status, territories, formats, schedules, fair dates, market observations, and service availability can change. A website page is not a rights offer, guarantee of placement, legal opinion, sales forecast, or commitment to a publication date.
Intellectual property
Unless otherwise identified, the MAQUINE name, visual identity, website design, original text, and commissioned artwork are protected materials. You may view and share links for ordinary professional reference, but may not reproduce, republish, train models on, sell, or create commercial derivatives from the site content without permission.
External services and availability
Links to fairs, publishers, platforms, or other third parties are provided for context and do not imply endorsement or control. MAQUINE may change, suspend, or correct the website and cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability, compatibility, or freedom from every technical error.
Professional decisions
Rights, privacy, tax, legal, financial, and commercial decisions should be reviewed by qualified advisers. To the extent permitted by applicable law, MAQUINE is not responsible for decisions made solely from general website content. Written project agreements control if they conflict with these website terms.
Changes and contact
MAQUINE may update this interim information when the website or operating practices change. This page does not replace a separately approved and versioned project agreement. Questions about a particular inquiry or use of MAQUINE materials should be sent through the general contact route.
