Privacy
Privacy notice.
This notice explains how MAQUINE handles information received through the website, rights desk, and professional correspondence.
Last updated July 9, 2026
Information we receive
When you contact MAQUINE, we may receive your name, professional email, role, organization, title or catalog details, language and territory information, rights status, project goals, messages, and any materials you choose to provide. Required form fields are limited to what the rights desk needs for an initial review.
Technical and security data
Cloudflare processes ordinary request data to deliver and protect this website. For form-abuse prevention, MAQUINE stores only a truncated network prefix with the inquiry; the complete IP address and browser user-agent are not retained in the rights-desk database. A hidden anti-spam field and submission limits are also used.
Why we use information
Information is used to evaluate and answer inquiries, assess authority and project fit, prepare catalog or partnership discussions, maintain an accountable correspondence record, protect the service from abuse, and take steps requested before a possible agreement. These uses rely on requested pre-contract work and MAQUINE's legitimate interests in operating a secure rights desk.
Service providers and disclosure
The website and inquiry database use Cloudflare infrastructure. Email routing and mailbox providers process messages sent by email. Information may also be shared with professional advisers or project specialists when necessary and appropriately controlled. MAQUINE does not sell personal information or use inquiry data for third-party advertising.
International processing
Rights work is international, and service providers or approved project participants may process information outside your country. MAQUINE limits access to the purpose of the inquiry and uses provider and contractual safeguards where appropriate.
Retention
Website inquiry records follow a standard retention period of up to 24 months from receipt. Information may be removed sooner on a valid request or retained separately when needed for an active agreement, a legal obligation, dispute prevention, or an established business record. Automated database pruning supports the standard period.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an explanation of how your information is used. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where consent applies. MAQUINE will verify the request and respond under the applicable privacy law.
Security, children, and updates
MAQUINE uses access controls, encrypted transport, security headers, data minimization, and managed infrastructure to protect inquiry records. No system can guarantee absolute security. The website is intended for publishing professionals and adult rightsholders, not children. Material changes to this notice will be posted here with a revised date.
