Founding Capacity Program | Application availability

Complete foreign editions built for series and catalogs.

Eligible complete editions start at USD 2,990. Three-book series programs are USD 2,490 per book, with lower per-book pricing only at the published commitment levels.

Founder-led inquiries are available. Review the offer and application requirements, then use the public desk email routes for a bounded, non-confidential inquiry. This site does not accept or store application submissions. No capacity is available or reserved until a project passes review and an agreement is accepted.

Two distinct service lanes

Volume pricing does not replace custom localization.

Signature Custom Edition

The high-complexity and manual-scoping lane remains USD 0.08–0.12 per approved source word. Optional publication packages remain separately priced.

Founding Capacity Program

FCP-2026-500 is an additive program for eligible complete editions. Its book-count tiers, deposit rules, tier-specific included word caps, and lifetime allocation are fixed by one versioned server-side configuration.

Complete edition scope

The core deliverables are explicit before you apply.

Final contractual scope, file formats, schedule, and exclusions are fixed in the reviewed proposal. The standard program starts from this delivery baseline.

Included

  • Human-led manuscript localization for the contracted language and target market
  • Bilingual editorial revision and target-language reading pass
  • Project terminology and voice record
  • Document-level linguistic and consistency QA
  • One consolidated rightsholder review round
  • Localized title and subtitle recommendations
  • Localized short and retailer descriptions
  • Search-keyword and BISAC or Thema recommendations where applicable
  • Copyright-page checklist
  • Validated reflowable EPUB 3
  • Print-ready interior PDF for one standard trim and layout
  • Clean final manuscript, approval log, and delivery manifest
  • Defined post-delivery correction period

Scope boundaries

  • The contracted source is supplied as editable text; scanned, image-only, illustrated, specialist, verse-heavy, or layout-dependent work moves to Signature review.
  • The standard Founding delivery includes a validated reflowable EPUB and one print-ready interior PDF. Cover work, fixed layout, retailer setup, distribution management, and launch support require a separate accepted scope.
  • One consolidated rightsholder review round is included. Rewriting, new source material, fragmented approvals, and post-approval changes require a separate scope decision.
  • The client maintains rights authority, supplies final source files and references, identifies one decision-maker, and returns consolidated feedback on the agreed schedule.

Founding volume ladder

A lower per-book price requires a larger contracted program.

These are distinct book-count tiers, not a crossed-out reference price for the same product. All amounts are USD and use integer cents in the authoritative configuration.

Two books and other non-standard commitments require a manually reviewed proposal. Anchor Account pricing starts at USD 1,490 per eligible book; neither its total nor its payment schedule is calculated in the browser. Work above a tier's included word cap moves to a separate Signature Custom Edition quote; it is never silently included at the volume price.

Standard eligibility

One governed decision per book.

  • The applicant controls or is authorized to exercise the required translation and publication rights.
  • Each book has an editable source and fits the included word cap published for its selected tier.
  • The language corridor and genre fit the versioned program rules; anything outside them moves to manual scope review.
  • Every selected book receives its own contracted slot, immutable scope snapshot, and agreed production schedule.

Capacity integrity

The founding allocation follows accepted agreements.

One contracted eligible book consumes one of the program's 500 lifetime slots only after the commercial agreement is accepted. Applications, calls, samples, draft proposals, and test data do not consume the allocation.

Capacity and timing are confirmed in the accepted proposal and agreement. MAQUINE does not publish an unverified live slot count or promise monthly throughput from this page.

Commercial boundary

An application starts a human review.

  • An application is a request for review, not an acceptance, reservation, agreement, or payment request.
  • Qualified projects receive a manually reviewed proposal; 12-book and Anchor Account payment schedules require founder approval.
  • Only books attached to an accepted commercial agreement count toward the 500-book founding allocation.
  • Printing, advertising spend, retailer approval, sales results, and rights not expressly included in an agreement remain excluded.

Foreign edition application

Describe the catalog without sending a manuscript.

Share the number of books, rights position, language corridor, genre, and approximate word counts. Do not send a manuscript. MAQUINE will review fit and explain the next action without promising acceptance or reserving capacity.
